To provide leadership for our community, to prevent unlawful activity, ensure individual rights, and promote a safe and secure environment.
The Sheriff’s Office was established according to the Michigan Constitution which provides that the Sheriff will be elected every four years on a partisan basis. The Sheriff’s duties include the administration of the County Jail as well as operating other law enforcement related programs.
We are dedicated law enforcement professionals committed to the community, sensitive to the needs and wants of our citizens, holding ourselves accountable to the highest standards or excellence and achievements.
