Transcripts

Transcripts are verbatim written documents that show exactly what was said during a hearing.  Transcripts are created by court recorders, reporters, or operators.  There is a cost associated with the generation of a transcript.  Transcripts may be requested for use by a party, attorney, or anyone on a public case.  Transcripts may also be needed for certain hearings as part of the procedure.  Transcripts can be requested using the Transcript Request Form and submitted to the Circuit Court via mail, fax, or email.  Upon receipt of a transcript request a recorder will review the record and contact the requestor with a cost estimate.  Payment for transcripts are made directly to the transcriptionist.
